Daegan Smith Review Part I

Just wanted to write a quick review on Daegan Smith. Now I know a lot of people in the internet land might have heard of him and are wondering “Who is this guy & does he really has days when he generates over 2,278 leads?”  Well the reality is that for most people who have yet to generate 2 leads online, 2,000 may seem really out of the ball park. But here’s the truth:

Daegan Smith is a SERIAL Online Marketer!

I heard about him less than a year ago, and also learned about his story. He joined network marketing to be financially free, just like many of you. He knew that working for someone else was NOT what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. He did some experiencing in real estate but didn’t really like it much. He would later discover his passion for internet marketing, which he would eventually utilize to market his business.

Now there’s always going to be struggles before reaching the top, and for Daegan he had his fair share of struggles. He was trying to build his business the old fashioned way, which is how most people are taught still to this day: pitching your friends and family, buying cold leads only to be yelled at, posting flyers, the 3-foot rule, etc. Nothing worked. He couldn’t sponsor any reps, he had no money coming in, just frustration like most network marketers today.

However, he attended a seminar one day and the last speaker that day talked about marketing on the internet, which really resonated with him. He goes on to say that he invested quite a sum of money (about $10,000 dollars) to spend one day with that master internet marketer (and millionaire). Now at the time, Daegan Smith didn’t have $10K but he used some credit cards and went ahead by faith. He learned so much that day and had a foundation for internet success. Fast forward to today, he’s made MILLIONS of dollars online, recruited 1000′s of distributors, and is known as the “king of never calling leads”.

Now, here’s the whole idea about leads. If you don’t have leads, you don’t have a business PERIOD! The average network marketer just never has enough people to talk to. And so they must find a way to generate more leads so they can have more signups. Daegan Smith tried many different methods of generating leads online. Some didn’t work, and some worked great. He found some strategies that really resonated with him and he was able to really master them. A couple of those strategies are Pay-Per-Click marketing and also newsletter marketing via Solo Ads. Now when you here those “2,434 leads PER DAY” stuff all over, it’s from newsletter marketing.

For those of you who don’t know about newsletter marketing, let me break it down for you: There are people on the internet that have email list with many subscribers. Some have 100 subscribers, some 1,000 subscribers, some have 100,000 subscribers, some have even more. Some of those people with huge lists allow others to advertise, pretty placing a solo ad that will go out to the entire list. So what Daegan Smith started doing was paying for these solo ads to go out to those huge subscribers lists. What happened is that he was able to generate lots of leads for whatever he was promoting because he found the list that was pretty much his target prospects.

Here’s how he gets those 2,000+ lead days: He places an ad that goes out to an email list of over 100,000 subscribers, he uses awesome Ad Copy to promote whatever he’s promoting, and out of that list of 100,000 people, sometimes over 2,000 of them checks out what he has to offer and becomes leads. And that’s pretty much what Daegan Smith does. The more money you’re able to invest, to bigger list you can advertise on (some lists with even 600,000 subscribers or more). Over the years, Daegan Smith has become really an internet marketing expert and has even launched his inner circle training site called Maximum Leverage, where he pretty much opens up his back office and shares his secrets with the people who join the group.
